MAC UNIT

CADC

High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge and ability to perform all “Core Functions”

Ability to handle multiple assignments at once

Ability to adhere to professional code of ethics

General computer literacy is mandatory

  

SECURITY

(2) Security Personnel

(22 North)/Security Driver

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge of security functions; preferably some security training, preferably 20 hours of training.

Ability to learn security procedures of the Chicago Clergy Association

Ability to recognize appropriate procedure that applies in each situation and follow it; Judgmental in keeping with the rules of confidentiality of client care

High School graduate or equivalent (GED)

Able to relate to people

Exercises good judgment

Ability to communicate pleasantly and clearly with others

Knowledge and ability of techniques to control unruly persons and/or clients, while still maintaining proper attitude or an equivalent completion of training and experience

No prior felony convictions

Valid Driver’s License

 

MEDICAL DETOX

(1) Licensed Practical Nurse

REQUIREMENTS:

Must posses a current, unencumbered license to practice as a LPN in this state

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

Must posses the ability to make independent decisions when necessary

Must be able to relate information concerning a patient/resident condition

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day

Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner

Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position

Must be able to function independently, have personal integrity, flexibility and the ability

to work effectively with patients, staff personnel, and support agencies.

Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.

Must be able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset, and at

times hostile people within the facility

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

Must be able to assist with the evacuation of patients

Can deal with multiple projects in stressful environment

 

MOMS II

(1) Case Manager/Driver

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Have valid Driver’s License and be insurable by company

Knowledge in substance abuse or related field

Good verbal and communication skills. Proficiency in reading and writing

Ability to be non-judgmental or critical of individuals, families and their situations

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Knowledge in substance abuse or related field

Proficiency in reading and writing

Proficient in reading and writing

Good verbal and communication skills

Access all areas of unit to get supplies

Knowledge of and ability to adhere to professional code of ethics

Knowledge of and ability to comply with confidentiality policy and procedures for high-risk clients

Knowledge of and ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention

Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work, including weekends

 

SANGAMON HOUSE

(1) Recovery Home Specialist

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Must be NCRS within 2 years of hire

Knowledge in substance abuse or related field

Good verbal and communication skills / Proficiency in reading and writing

Able to work effectively on a team

Driver’s License preferred

Or equivalent combination of training and experience

HEALTH EDUCATION

(3) Case Managers

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in working with substance abuse and HIV patients require

Maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s License and eligibility for agency insurance coverage

Bachelors in social sciences or health related field preferred

Must have successfully completed an approved training program for HIV / AIDS through the Chicago Department of Public Health

Must have previous experience in the substance abuse field, IAODAPCA certification preferred

Thorough knowledge of HIV/AIDS testing and status confidentiality

Thorough knowledge of HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses

Previous case management experience beneficial

 

(2) Health Educators  

REQUIREMENTS:

Facilitate didactic and therapeutic groups

Provide linkages between agencies and clients

Provide basic HIV / STD / TB information

Provide services and knowledge around substance use / abuse

Participate in ongoing staff development and training

Keep current on HIV prevention, risk reduction and HIV treatment information

Conduct individual needs assessment / service planning with client

Attend all staff meetings and scheduled supervisions

Follow all safety protocol

Complete all necessary documentation and reports in a timely basis

 

(1) Outreach Worker

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in working with Substance abuse and HIV patients required.

High School Diploma / GED equivalent required

Bachelor’s in social services or health related field preferred

Must have successfully completed an approved training program for HIV / AIDS through the

Department of Chicago Public Health

Maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s License and eligibility for agency insurance coverage

Submit weekly reports, and attend all process groups.

Must have previous experience in outreach services / HIV-related services, IAODAPCA certification preferred

Thorough knowledge of HIV / AIDS testing and status confidentiality

Previous case management experience beneficial

 

(1) Case Manager –CDC Men’s Detox

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience in working with substance abuse and HIV patients required

Bachelors in social sciences or health related field preferred

Maintain a valid Illinois Driver’s License and eligibility for agency insurance coverage.

Must have successfully completed an approved training program for HIV / AIDS through the Chicago Department of Public Health

 REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS or equivalent combination of training and experience

Knowledge of “Core Functions”

Experience working with individuals with multiple barriers to employment

Valid Illinois Driver’s License

MANAGED CARE

(1) Managed Care Specialist

REQUIREMENTS:

Current RN, MSW or LCSW license in the State of Illinois

2+ years of Marketing/Sales experience in a healthcare setting

Current valid Illinois Drivers License with a clean driving record

Excellent computer skills

Must be able to read, write, and speak English as well as skilled in in-service education and public speaking

Experienced in the field of substance abuse

Preferred:
Experience in commercial insurance
Marketing/Sales to commercial clinical decision makers & influencers

 

 

HAYMARKET CENTER

FATHERHOOD PROGRAM

 

These positions may be challenging and involve large caseloads. Although challenges are part of day-to-day responsibilities, employees in positions help many individuals in a variety of circumstances overcome difficulties and better contribute to society which often results in many rewarding experiences

REQUIREMENTS:

CARS

Must have a valid driver’s license

Have at least one year of relevant experience providing coordinated case management services

Ability to be non-judgmental or critical of individuals, families and their situations

 

(1) Family Therapist

REQUIREMENTS:

LCSW or LCPC

Three years’ relevant experience

 

(1) Counselor

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have between one and two years relevant experience working with low-income fathers
