The 2010 Spring Workshop Series

Topic : Transformative Case Management for Ex-Offenders

Presenter : Benneth Lee, CADC

Date : February 20, 2010

Time : 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Description :

Ex-offenders tend to be ill-equipped to handle stressful situations that can result in recidivism. They are faced with a myriad of decisions and often with little positive support. They frequently succumb to drug use and criminal activities. This one-day workshop will enhance the case manager/counselor skills in intentional, structured, systemic, and corrective interventions focusing on personal transformation of the attitude and mental framework of the ex-offender’s disrupted human development cycle. Participants will learn the paradigm shift for the ex-offender and methods in which to support them through their juncture of vulnerability and re-entry into their communities.
