Haymarket Center is proud to announce it is the beneficiary of The Warranty Group’s (TWG) first-ever global volunteerism initiative. TWG chose Haymarket’s courtyard beautification as its regional team project for employees to volunteer in support of worthy causes.

“We thank The Warranty Group for selecting Haymarket,” said Haymarket Center’s president and CEO Ray Soucek.

“We appreciate the validation and the opportunity this gave us to tell others what we do and why,” Soucek said.

“When we learned that September is National Recovery Month, we thought of Haymarket,” TWG Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Kevin Diamond said. “Helping this way gave us the chance to learn about the challenges of treatment and recovery.”

Haymarket Center’s courtyard, at 932 West Washington Street, needed rejuvenation as a place of tranquil reflection for the some 16,000 clients treated annually. The project took place on Thursday, September 15.
TWG’s Chicago team power washed, weeded, planted perennials, and mulched the courtyard. They also met the Haymarket Center staff that is so stretched under current budget uncertainty that it has not been able to care for the courtyard properly.

Home Depot donated all the supplies needed for the beautification, including dirt, plants, mulch and all tools.
