The mission of Haymarket Center is to aid people with substance use disorders in their recovery by providing comprehensive behavioral health solutions.
Haymarket Center conducts advocacy on issues directly related to policy and funding for substance use disorders and mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery. We advocate for policies that will lead to increased access to care, improved efficiency and effectiveness of care, and high quality of services. Our advocacy and education efforts take place at federal, State, County, City and local levels. Every year Haymarket Center serves clients from every area of Illinois. Our advocacy is strictly non-partisan, and we do not advocate any specific revenue mechanism unless it is directly related to substance use disorders or mental health prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Haymarket Center is a member of the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health, Illinois Partners on Human Services, and the National Council on Behavioral Health. We also belong to or attend community groups including Randolph Fulton Market Association, City Club of Chicago and the district Police and Fire Departments.
