A recovery center for addiction can help an addict get clean in a comfortable, supportive environment. Medication-assisted treatments are especially helpful in the early recovery stage to help ease symptoms of withdrawal, reduce cravings, and block the brain’s ability to experience the substance’s effect. In many cases, incorporating medication-assisted treatment may increase the odds for long-term recovery. The Haymarket Center has Recovery Homes that supports the ongoing recovery for individuals living with substance use disorders (SUD) who are active in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Recently the Haymarket Center was awarded a Recovery Home expansion grant from the Illinois Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery, through federal Opioid State Targeted Response funds. This award will increase the availability of housing options and recovery support services for Illinois Residents with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
Managing the transition from treatment to the community is an important component of the recovery process. The new Medication-Assisted Recovery Homes (MARCH) will provide men and women who are in early recovery from opioid use disorders (OUD) with an up-to-90-day stay in a safe, stable, structured housing environment. They will receive three daily meals, laundry and storage, recovery coaching, daily group session, as well as medication assistance and onsite nursing assistance.
The MARCH program will provide clients with the skills, education, and stability they need for independent living and long-term recovery from their addiction. The MARCH program includes group sessions with a recovery and self-help curriculum, health education groups to keep clients engaged and motivated in their recovery, and access to life and vocational skills trainings.
Haymarket Center’s MARCH program will afford clients a seamless transition from our existing residential and outpatient MAT programs for individuals with opioid use disorders (OUD).
Maintaining the overall health, safety, and security of all clients at Haymarket is a top priority. If you or someone you know has a substance abuse problem and is looking for a comprehensive behavioral health solution, call Haymarket Center at 312-226-7984 or visit our website.
