Since 1975, Haymarket Center has always had the mission to aid people with substance use disorders in their recovery by providing comprehensive behavioral health solutions.
For over a decade now, Haymarket Center has been building and expanding a family-centered approach to treatment. One of the newest additions to the program is the Family-Centered Treatment for Fathers, which was launched in October 2019.
The program was built on a foundation laid by a federal grant, from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, called “Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood.” That program was an enormous success, and Haymarket Center has continued many of the services from that program in this new treatment unit. The program is for adult men of 18 years or older who are parents of children under the age of 18 and/or are involved with the Department of Children and Family Services.
The Family-Centered Treatment for Fathers is an ASAM level 3.5, residential substance use disorders treatment program of 16 beds, providing more than 25 hours per week of group and individual counseling for adult men with substance use disorders. In this program, men will be provided with fatherhood programming and relationship counseling to help improve their parenting and communication skills, as well as to improve their financial responsibility.
Haymarket Center is a comprehensive, community-based provider of substance use and mental health treatment, battling some of our region’s most devastating health problems.
