HR HayMarket - Tuesday, January 08, 2019

As another Christmas holiday season concludes, you may still be composing your list of new year’s resolutions. What promises of change are you be making? Many choose to focus on their personal health and wellness from January 1st onward. Others even decide to put renewed energy into their personal finances and investments.

While these are all exceptional commitments to make, many people like you are saying goodbye to 2018 and their current jobs and saying hello to a new career path. If this sounds like you, why not consider a rewarding career by becoming a certified alcohol and other drug abuse Counselor?

The McDermott Learning Center Addiction Counselor Training Program at Haymarket Center will help you fulfill the educational requirements to become a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) and prepare you to take the certification test. The 225-hour program, accredited by the Illinois Certification Board (ICB), will run from March 19, 2019, through September 2019. This useful course includes 15 hours of Addiction Treatment Services for Women and/or their Families and 15 hours of Addiction Treatment Services for Adolescents and/or their Families. Upon passing the examination individuals can be registered with ICB and are ready to start 150 hours of supervised clinical practical experience required to complete the CADC program, which could take place at Haymarket Center.
