Maternal Addiction Center


The Maternal Addiction Center is a 16 bed program for women and their children. Each client may bring up to 2 children, ages 0 to 5, into care with them. The goal is to empower pregnant and/or parenting women to address the impact of substance use on their families.

The Maternal Addiction Center is a 16 bed program for women and their children. The goal is to empower pregnant and/or parenting women to address the impact of substance use on their families. In addition, the program will help the clients work toward family reunification by helping to develop the necessary skills for sound parenting, independence, s self-sufficiency and a drug-free lifestyle. Clients can be pregnant or have children in their care. Each client may bring up to 2 children, ages 0 to 5, into care with them. This residential program aims to serve women who:

  • Are pregnant
  • Have children under the age of 18
  • Recently have given birth to a Substance Exposed Infant (SEI)
  • Currently working with DCFS and the courts towards family unification

  • The GOAL of the program is to assist either physically impaired and/or medically challenged pregnant and chemically dependent women with a safe and stable living situation.

    Program Goal:

    The GOAL of the program is to assist either physically impaired and/or medically challenged pregnant and chemically dependent women with a safe and stable living situation. In addition, attending to their psychological needs via internal and external referrals. The women will obtain recovery living skills, give birth to a healthy drug-free baby and improve parenting skills.

    Population Served:

    The Maternal Addiction Center MAC Program is a 16-bed DASA licensed, Medicaid Certified ASAM Level III.5 – Clinically Managed High-Intensity residential primary treatment program for pregnant chemically dependent women who must meet at least one of the following:

    • Experience medical complications and take prescribed medications.
    • Have a history of post-partum depression or psychiatric conditions.
    • Require special diets.
    • Require methadone maintenance as a component of treatment.
