The MATER HALL - B “Advancing Parenting in Recovery” program is a 16 bed unit for women and their children. Each client may bring up to 2 children, ages 0 to 5, into care with them. The goal is to empower postpartum and/or parenting women to address the impact of substance use on their families.

The MATER HALL - B “Advancing Parenting in Recovery” program is a 16 bed unit for women and their children. The goal is to empower postpartum and/or parenting women to address the impact of substance use on their families. In addition, the program will help the clients work toward family reunification by helping to develop the necessary skills for sound parenting, independence, self-sufficiency and a drug-free lifestyle.  This residential program aims to serve postpartum women who:

  • Have children under the age of 18
  • Recently have given birth to a Substance Exposed Infant (SEI)
  • Do not have full custody of their infant
  • Currently working with DCFS and the courts towards family unification
